A Brief History of Eagle View Elementary


Eagle View Elementary School opened its doors to students for the first time on Tuesday, September 5,

2000, at 8:30 am.

This is the newest Elementary School in Greater Victoria, District #61, Eagle View is the culmination of many years of planning and hard work by citizens of the View Royal area, the School District #61 and the Ministry of Education.  Located at 97 Talcott Road (off Watkiss Way), the school for students from kindergarten to grade 5 will serve the needs of residents of North View Royal including the Highlands.

Eagle View features a large gym, eleven classrooms, special education area and a beautiful library.

The official opening of Eagle View took place on November 3, 2000. The opening ceremony included the Eagle View senior choir, student speakers and guests from the School Board and District office.  A giant ribbon cutting and unveiling of the school plaque was included in the program along with a reception for guests and cake for all who attended.
